Lost in the 80s

Well it's almost here! After the previous pieces for the Child's Play group exhibition at The Forum, I'll soon have the place all to myself! Rather than retype, I'll simply CtrlC & V the 'official' info:

From the 14th November - 5th December, the first solo show by Sheffield-based artist, Mute, brings a slice of 80s nostalgia to The Forum. Featuring an all-new collection of hand-painted canvases, Lost in the 80s provides a chance to catch-up with some old friends from a classic decade of cinema.

The exhibition celebrates cult movie characters and explores the relationship they share with the actors who played them. While our favourite characters were busy making childhood movies unforgettable and inspiring legacies of shared memories, some actors found it difficult to recapture the magic that had brought these creations to life. This show features a collection of the characters that captured our hearts, and the actors who will remain forever indistinguishable from their cult creations, and forever lost in the 80s...
