I've designed a few posters for the Sheffield Steel Rollergirls in the past and was asked to design their new logo. Went for a classic pin-up update of the previous version and added a tattoo banner. It was a nice change working on a full vector project, still a slightly foreign environment (node wrestling ahoy!) . The rollergirls call her Amber and she's soon to be printed on various merchandise.
My entry for the SOYO Live competition to design a poster for their Monday nights. Enjoyed the SIC design so much I wanted to continue the theme here with another skull. Just found out that there will be some online voting to pick the winner via Facebook soon so I'll post a link when its up. Mute
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! Here's to a creative year. Just thought I'd get back into it with a quick sketch - as always; Photoshop and a wacom. Did originally plan on shading the hair too but it fulfilled its purpose in getting me drawing so its onto the next canvas.
My good friend Ryan had asked me to design the first issue of a creative writing zine coming out in the new year called (SIC). Head on over to their Facebook group Ten Decadence for more info. I was given full creative freedom and really enjoyed the project, so expect some more work in the future in this style! I plan on setting up a section of the website for work such as this, until then I'll post it here in the blog.
The three paintings that were on display in Toast are now in Arcade on Devonshire Street, Sheffield along with my two most recent pieces (Attack All Monsters and Bare Knuckle). Thanks to all the guys at Arcade and best wishes to Rich and Ele with their new store The Bakery. I've also reduced the price of the paintings (call it a Winter Sale) so pop in a buy one as a Christmas gift for someone!
Digital sketch of Anna Faris done in Photoshop with a Wacom. This was an experiment with a limited colour palette - really enjoyed working with colours I wouldn't naturally choose.
