Doug Bloodworth

Just had to share the amazing work of Doug Bloodworth as his technical skill needs to be seen to be believed! It’s fitting that a section of his work features comics as I’m currently working on my own comic themed collection. Doug chooses to feature a photo-realistic copy of a comic along with other familiar objects (also rendered in amazing lifelike detail!), resulting in a familiar scene of reading comics and enjoying a snack. His talent for photo realism is truly impressive and the way he manages to capture the complex textures of his subjects brings a real beauty to typically everyday objects. Below are two of his paintings...yeah that's right, they're not photographs!

I've actually got this issue of Superman for research on my current project.
